November 19 is National Rural Health Day!

By ,

Rural communities like SoHum are wonderful places to live and work, which is why nearly 62 million people – about one in five Americans – call them home. These small towns, farming communities and frontier areas are places where neighbors know each other, listen to each other, respect each other and work together to benefit the greater good. They are also some of the best places to start a business and test your “entrepreneurial spirit.” These communities provide the rest of the country with a wealth of services and commodities, and they are the economic engine that has helped the United State become the world economic power it is today. Complementing and contributing to this rural way of life are the health care organizations that provide health care services, jobs, and contribute to economic development.

November 19 is National Rural Health Day here in SoHum and throughout the U.S. SHCHD is celebrating this day because we are part of this greater rural health community. In addition, it is an opportunity to say, “Thank You”. Thank you to the community for allowing us to meet your health care needs and for supporting SHCHD financially so we can continue to make services available locally and to everyone who needs care. Thank you to everyone on the SHCHD team and all of our community partners who work to make SoHum a healthy place to live and grow.
