Dr. Alan E. French grew up in Southern Humboldt and graduated from South Fork High School in 1968. He earn his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California Berkeley in 1972, followed by a Doctoral Degree from U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. French is a proud member of the Humboldt-Del Norte Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and a Diplomat at the American Board of Optometry. He has been providing family eye care to Fortuna and surrounding communities for over 50 years.
