Snehal Raisoni, MD

Dr. Snehal Raisoni is a skilled and compassionate primary care physician focused on preventative and tailored care with the greatest achievable health-to-happiness balance for her patients and community.

Dr. Raisoni graduated from St George’s University School of Medicine in 2010, after which she completed two years of Internal Medicine residency at St Mary’s Hospital in Livonia, Michigan. Dr. Raisoni now serves as a primary care physician at Southern Humboldt Community Clinic. Prior to coming to SoHum, she spent 10 years practicing at a Native American clinic in Covelo, California. Her background seeing patients in rural Northern California has given her substantial experience caring for patients with the unique challenges that rural living brings. She sees patients of all ages and confidently manages chronic diseases, acute issues, and urgent needs.

Dr. Raisoni is enthusiastic, empathetic, and dedicated to the complete wellness of her patients while being cognizant of the barriers they face. She looks forward to caring for you at SoHum Health.

Lawrence Gettler, MD

Dr. Gettler is a Board-certified physician, specializing in Emergency Medicine. He has over 50 years of experience practicing medicine in California. Dr. Gettler received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado and his Doctor of Medicine from UC Davis. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP). At SoHum Health, Dr. Gettler sees patients in our Emergency and Acute Care departments.

Linda Candiotti, PA-C

Linda Candiotti is a certified Physician Assistant who serves in the Clinic. She started college at UC Berkeley, then moved to Humboldt and received a BA in Zoology from HSU. She worked for several years as an Animal Health Technician, then became interested in the PA Program and worked at various positions at RRHC to get more medical experience with humans. She went on to attend the Stanford Primary Care Associate Program and became a Physician Assistant. She’s been working locally as a PA for the past 32+ years. Linda enjoys this profession immensely and has loved being able to go through life with her patients, many of whom are her friends. Linda has lived in Southern Humboldt since 1981. She and her husband live on a rural property where they raised their two kids, both of whom are now finishing college. Linda feels blessed to live and work in such a beautiful area and community. She enjoys doing yoga, hiking, gardening, swimming and kayaking in our local rivers, and enjoying the local wildlife.

Michael D. Murphy, MD

Dr. Murphy is a Board-certified physician practicing as a primary care provider at Southern Humboldt Community Clinic. Dr. Murphy received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Davidson College in North Carolina. After finishing his pre-med coursework at CUNY York College, he received his Doctor of Medicine from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. Throughout his career Dr. Murphy received additional training in Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology. He has been caring for patients in Northern California and Southern Oregon since 2017.

Tiffany Ordonez, MD

Dr. Tiffany Ordonez is a board-certified physician, specializing in Internal Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine. She has over 25 years of experience treating patients in the Western United States. Dr. Ordonez is a passionate humanitarian and has a wealth of first-responder experience in natural disaster emergencies. She treated disaster victims in Morocco, Haiti, New Orleans, and in New York City after the 9/11 tragedy. Dr. Ordonez is a strong supporter of persons with disabilities; she was a former director and coach for Special Olympics track and field athletes and is a current Medical Representative of the Human Rights Committee for disabled adults. An avid outdoorswoman, she enjoys skiing, mountaineering, rock climbing, and kayaking. SoHum Health is proud to have Dr. Ordonez on our team and she will be serving patients in our Clinic and Skilled Nursing Unit.

Katherine Loveless, LCSW

Katherine (Kathy) Loveless is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Kathy grew up in rural Humboldt County and has made her permanent residence in Rio Dell. She attended College of the Redwoods and Humboldt State University, where she studied English Education and Social Work. Before she moved into the behavioral health field, she spent several years working for vendors of the Redwood Coast Regional Center and the Child Welfare System. Kathy enjoys learning about people, their families, and their stories. As a behavioral health counselor, Kathy hopes to provide a comfortable, confidential, and safe space for individuals to discuss and work through the challenges they experience in their lives, and ultimately support them in improving the quality of their lives.  In her spare time, Kathy enjoys gardening, beading, reading, and spending time with her husband and her many animals. Kathy enjoys the beauty of Humboldt County, whether it be an afternoon drive to the mountains, a summer day in the creek looking for crayfish or enjoying a hike in the fresh snow. Kathy is thankful to be serving her community and is thankful to be part of the SoHum Health team.  

Tara Huff, LCSW

Tara Huff is a licensed clinical social worker who treats concerns including addiction, anger management, anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, parenting related concerns, self-esteem, self-harming, spiritual crisis, stress, suicidal ideation/crisis, trauma, and PTSD. Her therapy modalities include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Induced After-Death Communications (IADC), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and other eclectic approaches.

Tara graduated from San Jose University with a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary social science with education preparation and a minor in history. Tara then went on to complete her master’s in social work with a concentration in mental health. Post Masters, Tara then completed a specialization in advanced alcohol and drug counseling.

The world of behavioral health is broad, creative, and can look different from person to person. Whether you need support for mental health, stress/coping mechanisms, life changes or simply creating habits and patterns for health and happiness- Tara is here to help and is currently seeing new patients for individualized behavioral health.

Christie Bobowski, PharmD

Christie Bobowski, PharmD serves as the pharmacist at Garberville Pharmacy. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy in 2016, and she and her husband decided to move to Humboldt shortly after to raise their family and for better work life balance. Dr. Bobowski has worked all over Humboldt for the last 9 years including at the CVS on Harris in Eureka and Green’s Pharmacy in Fortuna. She loves this area and the community feel of a small town, and understands the need for accessible health care.

Pejman Simanian, PharmD

Pejman better known as PJ, works in SoHum Community Clinic and Jerold Phelps Community Hospital. He is a graduate of Pacific University in Hillsboro, Oregon where he received his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. He is an established pharmacist who has served Humboldt County since 2012 in both the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings with an Advanced Practice Pharmacist License. He takes great pride in serving our rural community and is driven by the relationships he builds with his patients and colleagues. Outside of work, PJ enjoys reading, spending time with his family, and playing basketball.

Chris Whitney, OD

Dr. Chris Whitney grew up on the East Coast. He studied Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and then joined the Navy before moving to Southern California to practice.  He moved to Humboldt County one year ago and enjoys hiking, photography, watercolor painting and providing care for the local community.

Seth Miskin, OD

Dr. Seth Miskin grew up in Yucaipa, California and enjoys hiking, fishing, and going to the beach. He studied Optometry at the Chicago College of Optometry and looks forward to bringing optometry services to Garberville and beyond.
