Tara Huff, LCSW

Tara Huff is a licensed clinical social worker who has held a vast array of roles in her field. She has experience providing individual and group therapy with various populations from children to older adults as well as justice involved individuals with high mental health acuity. Tara has experience treating concerns that include addiction, anger management, anxiety, attention deficit/hyperactive disorder (ADHD), depression, dual diagnosis, grief/ loss, parenting, self-esteem, self-harming, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation/crisis, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She takes an integrative approached to treatment that is compassion focused, humanistic, person-centered and utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) training while incorporating concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Tara graduated from San Jose University with a bachelor’s in interdisciplinary social science with education preparation and a minor in history. Tara then went on to complete her master’s in social work with a concentration in mental health. Post Masters, Tara then completed a specialization in advanced alcohol and drug counseling.
